Hilary of Poitiers (c. 310–367 AD) was a Gallic bishop and Latin defender of Nicene theology during the Arian controversies. His De Trinitate argues from Scripture and theological language for the full divinity of the Son, while his other works include polemical, exegetical, and synodal material. Jerome represents his principal Trinitarian and anti-Arian writings.
