Rufinus of Aquileia (c. 345–411 AD) was a monk, translator, theologian, and historian who helped transmit Greek Christian literature into Latin. His work includes a church history, translations and adaptations of Eastern authors, an exposition of the creed, and apologetic responses to controversy. Jerome represents his Latin historical, theological, and translated works.
