Introduction
Lucius Annaeus Seneca (c. 4 BC–65 AD), or Seneca the Younger, was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, dramatist, and essayist. His prose works address anger, clemency, benefaction, providence, the good life, and the use of time, while his tragedies adapt myth to intense moral and psychological conflict. Jerome represents treatises, letters, and plays.
