Μὴ τοῦτο ἀδικεῖν σοι δοκοῦμεν; Οὐκ οἶμαι. Σκόπει δὲ καὶ τὸ τῆς ἐπιστολῆς, ὅπως ἔσχε παρὰ τῶν ὑβριστῶν ἡμῶν. Κλῆσιν συνοδικὴν ἐτύπωσαν πρὸς ἡμᾶς· ἐμοῦ δ' ἀντιλέ γοντος καὶ ὕβριν φάσκοντος, ἀλλὰ τό γε δεύτερον ἠξίουν δι' ἐμοῦ παρακληθῆναι ὑμᾶς περὶ τούτων βουλευσομένους.
